12th Australian Space Development Conference

Aerospace Concepts was in active participant at the recent Australian Space Development Conference (ASDC) in held in Adelaide between 8 and 10 July 2013.

Michael Brett, Chief Operating Officer, chaired a number of sessions and presented the outcomes of the Antarctic Broadband project during the panel session on the outcomes of the Australia Space Research Program.

The ASDC presents a unique business focus on the international space industry. These conferences bring Australian and Asian space companies and civil programs together with international space industry participants. The conferences are designed as a forum where international space industry professionals can talk face to face with each other, build meaningful associations, share their concepts for the future of the industry and discuss the latest developments and trends.

This year’s conference Gala dinner included was attended special Guest Dr Yasushi Horikawa, Chairman of the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space;  and Technical Counsellor and Executive Director of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA); responsible for the development, utilisation and operation of Earth observations, communications, broadcasting and global positioning satellites.

The Aerospace Concepts team look forward to attending the 2015 Australian Space Development Conference.
