Daniel Spencer, Senior Systems Engineer and Aerospace Concepts MBSE Practice Lead, attended and presented at Australasia’s largest and most highly-regarded emergency services and public safety conference and trade exhibition, AFAC 2014.

AFAC 2014 brought the emergency services and public safety industry together to share wisdom of experience, research and analysis to enable a better understanding of successful approaches. The conference was held in Wellington, New Zealand from the 2-5 September.

Daniel presented our recent work on A Model-based Approach to Capability in Fire and Emergency Services.

This work demonstrates the application of model-based conceptual design to emergency service delivery at the enterprise level. The structured approach to organisational capability is expected to benefit effectiveness of service, efficiency of resources and buy-in from stakeholders at a local and political level.
